These next words are aimed at providing a basic introduction to what this place is about. As can be seen from the titles at the top of the forums, Temmarendil and the Druids of Kala, we firstly deal with Temmarendil. It is the name of a fantasy world, created and built (continuously) by the members of our group, the Druids.
The Druids are amateur writers of (English language) stories and poetry, mainly set within Temmarendil. People who come to visit these forums, and find it interesting enough to linger, are welcome to read the posts, tales, documents or whatever, post and speak with people here in the Halls of Kala, and ask questions. And should they find it engaging enough to want to participate in the writing of Temmarendil’s stories, they could enroll themselves as Acolytes, and start their way to become Druids as well.
Much time and work had already gone towards defining Temmarendil as a unique fantasy realm, with its own peculiarities and atmosphere, and there are many documents in these forums describing its nature, its races, countries etc. It is not a "stock-fantasy" world, necessarily filled with all the usual elements one might expect. It has differences from the norm -- some subtle, and some large and clear. Therefore, Temmarendil can be seen as a "fantasy campaign world", where certain "rules" govern how things work, or do not work. In order to participate, writers need to learn about Temmarendil and its guidelines, so that their tales and role-playing would fit into the world without clashes.
And so, for those who would like to immerse themselves in Temmarendil’s chronicles and add to them, your first stop should be our forums. Within them are found a number of important facts about Temmarendil, the guidelines of writing tales set in this world, and the Druids’ rules for participation.
