The Fire

The hatred of fire I fathom not,
For to fathom such a thing, would be frivolous at best,
As there is no limit to the hatred and the rage of the fire.

The fire hates,
The fire roars,
The fire kills,
The fire consumes.

The fire is a giant, an evil and menacing one at that,
It jumps and frolics with thunderous booms
Never quite aware what wounds it will cause.

The fire is great,
The fire is ancient,
The fire is unstoppable,
The fire is power.

“Ignorant fools, realize they not!
Fire I am, and power I have!” Raged the fire.
“Wait, what will they do? When fire I rain upon their foolish heads?” Asks the fire.

The fire gives warmth,
The fire gives power,
The fire gives hatred,
The fire gives little, but takes much.
