Moriquendi Tears
Chapter XX: The Sun Rises Anew
Through the chaos of recent days, one could be forgiven for wondering if the sun would even shine upon Temmarendil the following day, however as surely as Lómion rules in the evening, Kala brought warmth to the world once more. Staying on Grans Island a few days longer, Elric, Nicodemus and Erufailon helped the elves to reorganise their forces, and handle the last stragglers of the Moriquendi - as Mórie had said, they were inferior fighters to those faced before, and were easily defeated, before they stopped coming altogether. Before long, the three had to leave, and retured to Qis, where they boarded a boat to Azuron.
Shortly after they left, rumours began to spread amongst the elves of Noot: why was Eruwen, the only person who did not trust the Elves of Grans, the only one to die? Where was Elric when this was happening? Was it not his duty, nay, his reason for living to protect her? Quickly distrust towards their brethren spread again. Despire an initial glimmer of hope that they may end their feud, the lines were quickly drawn once more, and the cold war began anew.
Meanwhile, far away from the continent of Lyndret, in a part of the world no Druid has ever before recorded, a corronation ceremony was held. Lady Mórie Taure stood before the Moriquendi victorious: her opponents all crushed, and her suporters growing ever larger. As her handmaiden, Lanyare, placed a golden tiara upon her lady's head, a priest of Kantos presented the ring that would identify her as Queen of the Moriquendi. No sooner did she place it upon her finger that a great cry rose amongst the dark elves: their new Queen would lead them to great victories in war!
The sun set upon another day, but will rise anew, will it not?
