Emperor/Empress -- "Your Imperial Majesty"

The individual who is the shining example of the people of the Empire. He/She serves as our Ambassador to the outside world, to other guilds and alliances and searches out appropriate places to post our message of welcome to prospective members. The Emperor/Empress handles any issues that arise between Draconia and any guilds or alliances that we come in contact with. The symbol of the Emperor/Empress is a crown of leaves wrought in gold.

THE THREE

The Praetor, Chancellor and Patriarch are known as "The Three" in the Empire due to their close relationship and their efforts in the main aspects of the Empire.

Chancellor -- "Your Excellency"

The Chancellor keeps track of community and ensures people get along, makes sure we have a friendly atmosphere as well as activity on forums, solves conflicts between citizenry of Draconia. He/She chairs guild meetings unless he/she requests another person chair the meeting for her/him. The symbol for the Chancellor is the staff.

Praetor -- "Your Eminence"

A person that keeps up to speed on what the Empire is doing in the various games we play (not just the main game), person in charge of gaming, keeps track of the guild in each game to ensure that the leader of that guild is keeping to our Laws, settles gaming issues, scouts for new games that might be of interest to the Empire. The symbol for the Praetor is the rod (or mace).

Patriach -- "Your Holiness"

The patriach is a person responsible for the role playing aspect of our forums including the creation, maintenance and regulation of all storylines the make up Draconian history. The symbol for the Patriarch is the quill.

Duke/Duchess -- "Your Grace"

The Dukes and Duchesses of Draconia pledge their loyalty to the Empire, hold the land of the duchy for the Empire and govern their respective duchies. Their duties include maintaining close contact with their Baron/Baroness and members of the duchy, holding duchy tournaments, running duchy meetings and providing overall quality environment for the members of the duchy. All Dukes and Duchesses are members of the High Council.

THE HIGH COUNCIL

The High Council includes all members defined above. The High Council is the heart of decision making in the guild. A quorum of six High Council members or appointed representatives is necessary to officially conduct business. A majority vote of the quorum is necessary to create or modify a law, bylaw, or temporary policy. As a whole, the Council is also able to promote and demote members as they see fit.

Baron/Baroness -- "My Lord"/"My Lady"

Govern the barony and appoint the Count/Countess of the cities in their duchies under the auspices and approval of the duchy Duke/Duchess. They are advisors to the Duke/Duchess and are responsible for recruiting potential members for the Empire and their duchy.

Count/Countess -- "Count"/"Countess"

Govern the cities within the duchies and are appointed by the Baron/Baroness of the duchy. They are chosen due to their outstanding military service to the duchy. The Count/Countess train and house a military force that can be called upon by the Baron/Baronesses or Duke/Duchesses to maintain the security of their duchy. This does not however mean that the emphasis of the city is military.

Knight -- "Sir"/"Lady"

Knights make up the core of the Empire. They defend and protect its borders, cities and duchies. They do not necessarily live in one duchy over the other; but travel between them learning about each and helping to defend each before deciding where they wish to live. To advance in rank, it is first necessary for a Citizen to become a Knight and show true dedication and activity as well as always keep an eye out to recruit other potential members for the Empire while participating in Draconian activities.

Citizen -- No specific form of address

Any member of the Empire that has not yet attained the rank of Knight.

Draconian Empire Titles

Elder -- "Elder"

This title is awarded to those who have left Draconia and is not technically a rank but a position. It is recognition of the time and dedication during their previous tenure in the Empire. Elders are not members usually; but honored guests. If they chose to return to the Empire as members, they can submit an application. The High Council may vote to allow them to become members again without a probationary period.

Druids -- "Brother"/"Sister"

Druids are the caretakers of Temmerandil, the world in which the Empire exists. The druids create, maintain and regulate all storylines that make up Draconian history under the leadership of the Patriarch.
